Fall is fast approaching and lots will be happening throughout the season here in Meadows of Dan, so don't miss anything!

Learn the fascinating history of the Rock Castle Community - a community that thrived in Patrick County from the late 1700's to the 1930's on this five-mile moderately strenuous hike. Meet at the entrance to the Rocky Knob Cabins off of Woodberry Rd. Wear waterproof boots and bring water and lunch. The hike will end at the lower end of the Rock Castle Gorge Trail at the CC Camp Road off of Route 8. Shuttle back to cars will be available for drivers, or you may set up your own shuttle ahead of time, or hike back to the starting point, Call ahead for directions or information about the shuttle

Sunday, September 27 - Sunday Sounds: 1 PM to 4 PM. Come out and enjoy live music on the winery lawn. Bring your own seating. Wine and food are available for purchase at our D*Vine grill. Sept. 27th entertainment: American Roots A father and son guitar and vocal duo (sometimes trio when they add a bass) performing a variety of roots music including traditional Appalachian ballads, hot fiddle tunes, tin pan alley toe-tappers, blues, rags, swing and "folkgrass" (folk tunes performed at bluegrass tempo). Their repertoire includes tunes from the Monroe Brothers, Stanley Brothers, Delmore Brothers, Carter Family, Jimmy Rogers, Norman Blake, Merle Travis, Doc & Merle Watson and other traditional artists. They also do some tumes from popular music of the early 20th century and some traditional jazz for variety.
